The Size 05 interchangeable orifice is designed to meet the needs of large evaporators or cold storage rooms with high thermal loads, allowing the system’s nominal capacity to be adjusted without having to replace the entire valve body. Machined to micrometer tolerances from high-strength brass and stainless steel, it ensures consistent flow and precise control of superheat, preventing temperature fluctuations (hunting) even at high flow rates. The fine-mesh metal basket filter integrated into the base traps brazing residues, desiccant fragments, or circulating metal particles, preserving the integrity of the conical pin and ensuring a consistently airtight seal when closed.
