The R407C zeotropic mixture exhibits a characteristic temperature glide that requires particularly precise thermostatic control. Unlike models with internal equalization, the Refrigerant Boys TEZ2 series features a 1/4″ SAE Flare port for external equalization, which is essential when the system uses liquid distributors, multi-circuit coils, or components that cause significant pressure drops. By detecting the actual pressure at the evaporator outlet on the suction line, the valve ensures an immediate response to changes in thermal load, eliminating hunting and preventing dangerous liquid return to the compressor.
