The interchangeable Size 03 orifice allows the cooling capacity of the thermostatic valve to be adjusted to the evaporator’s actual heat exchange requirements without requiring replacement of the valve body. Machined to micrometer tolerances from brass and stainless steel, it ensures a reliable seal and a proportional response to changes in the thermal load. The fine-mesh filter basket located at the base traps machining residues, sludge, or desiccant particles carried by the fluid, preserving the geometry of the flow passage and preventing premature clogging.
