The combination of an oversized housing (Ø 73 mm x 174 mm) and 1/4″ SAE flanged threaded connections offers significantly greater hygroscopic storage capacity compared to standard compact models. This configuration is ideal for systems with extensive refrigeration circuits, evaporators with low thermal loads, or systems that require a high level of protection against moisture after installation or maintenance.

The 100% sintered compact block made of molecular sieves (3Å) captures dissolved water in the circuit before it can chemically react with synthetic lubricants (POE/PAG), thereby neutralizing the risk of hydrolysis, the formation of corrosive acids, and freezing of the rolling element housing. The cartridge’s solid construction prevents any pulverization of the filter media in the flow, while the 1/4″ flanged fittings allow for a clean, quick, and solder-free mechanical installation.
