Refrigerant Boys TSE2 Series Professional Mechanical Thermostatic Expansion Valve, designed for precise control of refrigerant flow to the evaporator in medium- and low-temperature commercial and industrial refrigeration systems using R404A and R507 refrigerants. Equipped with SAE Flare threaded connections, a 1/4″ SAE external equalization line, a laser-welded stainless steel diaphragm, and a sensor bulb on a flexible capillary tube to ensure stable and responsive superheat control even in the presence of high pressure drops.

Description
Consistent Precision and Compressor Protection for Low-Temperature Applications
In commercial refrigeration systems using R404A/R507 equipped with multi-channel evaporators or liquid distributors, internal pressure drops can significantly affect the actual evaporation temperature. The Refrigerant Boys TSE2 series thermostatic valve features a 1/4″ SAE Flare port for external pressure equalization, allowing the actual pressure at the evaporator coil outlet to be measured. This feature compensates for pressure drops in the circuit, eliminates the risk of unstable pressure fluctuations (hunting), and ensures complete evaporator wetting, protecting the compressor from dangerous liquid slugging even under the most severe freezing conditions.
Strengths & Advantages:
External Equalization 1/4″ SAE Flare: Ensures proper orifice modulation by sensing pressure directly on the suction line, making the valve ideal for extended coils, multi-circuit evaporators, or sections equipped with a liquid distributor.
Specific Calibration for R404A and R507: Calibrated to respond immediately to the saturation curves and operating pressures typical of medium- (MBP) and low-temperature (LBP) commercial refrigeration systems.
SAE Flare Threaded Body in Forged Brass: Enables quick installation and easy maintenance using standard wrenches, eliminating the risk of overheating the internal mechanisms caused by on-site brazing.
Hermetically Sealed Stainless Steel Sensing Assembly: Diaphragm and upper housing made of stainless steel with ultra-high-precision laser welding, ensuring a leak-tight seal against extreme temperature fluctuations, repeated cycles, and line vibrations.
High-Thermal-Response Sensor Bulb: The compact cylindrical bulb connected to the spiral capillary tube immediately detects fluctuations in suction temperature, instantly modulating the flow rate.
Fine-Tuning Adjustment Screw: Equipped with a stem for manual adjustment of static overheating, protected by a watertight threaded brass cap.
Compatibility with POE Lubricants: Designed with metallic materials and sealing elastomers that are fully stable and resistant to polyester synthetic oils (POE).
