“The refrigerant gas R448A (Solstice® N40), an HFO-based blend available in cylinders of various sizes, has a GWP of 1387. It is currently the preferred retrofit solution in the commercial refrigeration sector (supermarkets, display cases) to replace R404A and R507A. It offers superior energy efficiency and reduces environmental impact by 65% compared to older gases. However, falling into the medium GWP range, it is not exempt from the new F-Gas tax adjustments: the price will undergo a tangible increase, making stock management strategic.”
