R427A refrigerant gas (Forane® 427A), available in various cylinder sizes, has a GWP of 2138. It is recognized as the total retrofit solution for replacing R22 in low, medium, and high-temperature air conditioning and refrigeration applications. Its excellent compatibility with various lubricants allows for a fast and efficient transition without requiring costly modifications to existing systems. However, its high global warming potential makes it one of the gases most affected by the new F-Gas tax adjustments, leading to a very significant price increase for the maintenance of older systems.
